Over the course of this lockdown, I have had the privilege of streaming live twice a week to raise money for industry workers and musicians on the folk world that have been affected by the pandemic we find ourselves in. On Wednesdays as a solo stream, and on Saturdays with my dad, the kind donations we have received through Simon Care's Ko-Fi link has accumulated to over £3000. For this, every single one of you has my thanks. You are all helping to make a massive difference and the money has already helped a number of individuals and families struggling, so again - thank you.
If you would like to help contribute to the streams, you can do so following this link: https://ko-fi.com/simonsmusicaljukebox.
If you have no idea what I'm on about, go over to my facebook page, and have a look at one of the streams, give it a share, a like, and tune in for the next one, which is conveniently tommorow! Here's the most recent of you haven't seen it already:
I want to say a massive thank you to the wonderful Simon Care and Towersey Folk Festival. Simon Care - as mentioned above - is the owner of the Ko-Fi donation page that I have been using throughout my streams. After contacting me, Simon kindly invited me to take part in his tune session for the festival. Being on the bill with some of the most highly respected folk musicians currently on the circuit, and being part of the festival for this year, has been humbling, and the response has been fantastic. My thanks again to all involved - it was the nearest thing to a damn good festival session! You can view the full video below, if you want to!
This brings me to an end for this week so far - I might start doing these as a weekly thing... Who knows!
I hope you are all staying safe and keeping well.
Look after yourselves, and thanks again,
