A Wonderful Weekend

Hello all!

Welcome back to the blog section of my site. Once again, I'm back to keep you up to date with the behind the scenes action of all that I have going on, and just ramble a bit if I need to!

The end of August/start of September is one of my favourite times of the year, and has been very important to me for many years. For the last 15(ish) years, every August (and, in fact, June), I have ventured with my family up to the depths of the North Yorkshire Moors for a weekend of songs and tunes, known as the Black Bull Bender. Originally, this event was set up by Jim and Mu Wilkinson, and they ran this event for decades, bringing together those with a passion for song, stories, and good company. However, when Covid hit, these events were unable to take place, and after the pandemic, it became a family event, which I am very grateful for still being a part of. I will miss High Whins, its history, and the songs the walls have heard over the decades, especially as it's always felt like a second home to me.

I mentioned in the last post that Belver went off to have a photoshoot with Catherine Gregson-Bourke, and what a shoot it was. We have received some of the files back, and I'm going to be cheeky and show you a couple of them here! These will all end up on my site soon, as well as over on Millpost Records AND a new Belver site (coming soon...), so keep your eyes peeled for when they start to crop up! Thanks again to Catherine for doing such an amazing job!

I'm spending the rest of my Tuesday catching up from everything that I missed from Thursday through to today, so there's going to be a lot of things to do! I hope you all have a lovely week, and I will catch up with you soon!

Jx
